FAQ’s

How much will it cost to board my pet(s)?
You can calculate the full cost of boarding your pet(s) with us by downloading our fees page. It can get complicated if you have multiple animals and special requirements so alternatively, please e mail your requirements, complete a Booking Request form or call us on 01462 742658 for an accurate quote.

My pet’s vaccination isn’t current. Can I board my dog or cat with you?
Different vaccines become effective after varying amounts of time. A safe period of time is generally 14 days before Check In. If you are in any doubt, please call us on 01462 742658 for advice. While recent flea and worm treatments are not required we strongly advise that all cats and dogs have been treated recently and we request and record the dates before Check In.

Why do you make an additional charge for a heated pen?
For much of the year, artificial heat is not necessary. However, during the winter months, many clients require a heat lamp for dogs and cat friendly electric panel radiator for cats to be operating at night. The charge covers the cost of purchasing and replacing the equipment plus the electricity. Due to the high level of insulation and low running costs, our VIP suite has the heating charge included in the price.

How can I request my dog to groomed ready for collection on the check out day?
Simply call us beforehand to make an appointment or request an appointment when you check in. However, two week’s advance notice is advisable as slots may not be available during busy periods.

I can’t arrange to have my pet delivered or collected. Can you help?
Country Boarding for Cats and Dogs have a pick up and delivery van. We can collect from or deliver to your home within a 20 mile radius. Please ask when you place the booking. If circumstances make it necessary nearer the time of booking, please give as much notice as possible and we will endeavour to fulfil your request if we can.

What happens if my pet gets sick or injured while boarding?
While we always do all we can to in the interests of care and welfare of our guests, occasionally an animal can have an accident or become poorly. In this event, we will endeavour to telephone the nominated contact number and seek to follow the advice given. This may result in a visit to either our nominated vet but we can also transport the animal to the owner’s preferred vet for treatment. A charge will be made to cover time and transport costs. Any veterinary costs must be borne by the owner. If after trying, we cannot make contact with either the owner or the nominated contact person(s), we will seek and follow veterinary advice and any costs and transport must be borne by the owner.
