Day Care Animal Care Assistant

Come and join our established team at our animal care centre which is much more than a traditional kennel and cattery. We were awarded the PIF UK Kennel of the Year 2020 and finalist in 2021. On site, we also operate a canine hydrotherapy centre, successful grooming parlour, dog walking service, behaviour training, puppy training and we own a 15 acre secure dog park.

Hours per week – as required but generally 36 hours per week during busy periods.

Attributes required:-

Genuine interest in dogs and cats and their welfare

Confidence in handling dogs and cats

Stamina

Common sense

Ability to work on your own

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Good customer service skills

Ability to use a computer

Responsible attitude towards hygiene

Ability to work as a team member

You must be able to travel to our site SG7 6NL by car as there is no public transport.

Day Care Animal Care Assistant + Driver

Come and join our established team at our animal care centre. In 2018, we set up Playdays, our day care service for dogs. This is a great opportunity if you have previous experience working with dogs and want to expand your skills working with a great team of people. We won the Kennel of the Year Award 2020 and were finalists in 2021. Playdays also has a coveted 5 Star local authority rating.

On site, we also operate our dog hotel and cattery, canine hydrotherapy centre, successful grooming parlour, dog walking service, behaviour training, puppy training and we operate our secure dog parks. See our video at https://youtu.be/LxUoasToJy4

Rate of pay: £10.42 to £11.00p/h – negotiable subject to age and experience

Hours per week – Generally Tuesday – Thursday between 10am – 3pm; typically 15 hours per week.

Essential – manual driving licence and an ability to drive company van to collect and drop off dogs.
